Spools Quilt Block

I love looking at quilts and trying to figure out the repeating blocks.  So, I thought I would try to replicate some traditional quilt blocks with metal clay.

The design was had drawn on scratch foam, which is impressed into the clay when rolled over the drawing.  After firing the design is painted with metallic acrylic inks and sealed with resin.
