Sea Glass Pottery
THE STORY:
Sea pottery begins its journey as refuse glass that was broken and discarded into the sea. The pottery is swept and carried as powerful elements of sand, tide, water and weather transform it into a colorful jewel waiting to be discovered. This piece of sea pottery was found on the Almafi Coast of Italy and is thought to be from the 1950's. The texture on the back plate was made by rolling metal clay over a handmade texture.
